Jackie Frank Rhodes passed away peacefully on the evening of Sunday May 9th, 2021 after a short battle with complications due to a stroke. He was born in Shelbyville, IL on May 30th, 1940 to Blain and Dortha Rhodes. He was the youngest of four siblings. Jack graduated from North Phoenix High School then joined the U.S. Navy in 1958. He was among the first group to be sworn in in Arizona, serving for 6 years before an honorable discharge in October 1964. Jack is preceded in death by his wife Teresa of 49 years and siblings Thomas Rhodes, Mary Tipsword, and Martha Carr. Jack is survived by his children Michele Thompson, Michael Rhodes, Matthew Rhodes, four grandchildren whom he loved spending time with, and many extended family members. Jack was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed.
A memorial service will be held in his honor on Monday May 17th, 2021 at 10:00am at Desert Valley Mortuary, 138 N Avenue B in Somerton, AZ.
