Dorothy was born near Chillicothe, Texas, to Benjamin Harrison Smith and Katie Edna Smith on August 28, 1933. She married Lyndell Joe Thomas on September 5, 1949, in Quanah, Texas. She owned and ran Joe's Bait and Tackle supporting the fishermen of Possum Kingdom Lake for two decades.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and all siblings.
She is survived by her four children, Wendell Thomas, Wanda Harris, Larry Thomas, and Katherine Thomas, as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral Services were Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at the Church of Christ in Graford, Texas.
