Born in Rockville Centre, Long Island, NY, Ann was a daughter of the late Arthur E. and Katherine (Nimmerfroh) Wilkin. She was raised Catholic and received her formal education in American History. Ann was an avid quilter, gardener and, overall, a very crafty woman. Since living in PA, Ann became actively involved with the Heart & Home Quilters Guild as well as the Kutztown Community Library. Always civic-minded, she also volunteered as an Election Poll Worker for Greenwich Township.
Ann is survived by her five children, Patrick J. Thompson, with whom she resided; Aileen M. (Thompson) O'Donoghue and her husband, John, Cyprus; Michael E. Thompson and his wife, Marta Encinas, Paris, France; Kathleen M. (Thompson) Owens and her husband, Brendan, Blooming Grove, NY; and Brian D. Thompson, Johnson City, TN; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She is also survived by a brother, Arthur Wilkin, and sister, Katherine (Wilkin) Glahn.
A memorial service to celebrate and honor Ann's life will be held on Friday, November 5, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, PA. The family will receive relatives and friends from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
