Daughter of: * Thomas Joshua Brooks and * Lola Wallace Brooks.
Born and raised in Mooresville, Myra attended Mooresville City Schools and graduated in 1954. She then attended Lowrance Hospital School of Nursing and graduated in 1957. She worked as a Registered Nurse at Gaston Memorial Hospital. She married the love of her life, Dan Gray, in August 1958. She continued her nursing career at Cabarrus Memorial Hospital as Supervisor of the Pediatric Floor. Her work continued there until she began her family, her greatest work. Myra and Dan joined First Baptist Church, Kannapolis in 1962 where she was active with Sunday school, Women's Ministries and as a volunteer in the Nursery. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and was beloved by all.
