Janet A. Jones, age 75, passed away Friday October 29, 2021, at the Soin Medical Center in Beavercreek, Ohio with her family by her side. She was born on January 20, 1946, in Rugby, North Dakota, the daughter of the late Erdle and Emma (Peterson) Lavik. Janet lived in Loomis, California and was an active part of several church families where she led numerous Bible studies. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother who loved her children and grandchildren and will be greatly missed. However, nothing could be more important to her than her relationship with Jesus Christ. Her life was best illustrated by her life verse – Galatians 2:20, "I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me." Janet is survived by her two sons, Lt Col Jeff (Melissa) Jones of Bossier City, Louisiana, and Jeremy (Lindsey) Jones of Beavercreek, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Ben Jones, SN Sam Jones, Makayla Jones, Nathan Jones, Micah Jones, Riley Jones, Reagan Jones, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and all of her church families. A celebration of her life will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date. Burial will take place in the Persilla Watts Cemetery in Rugby, North Dakota at a later date.
