Matthew Drew Dixon, age 38 of Deerbeach Florida, formerly of Austell passed away October 12, 2021.
Matt played baseball as a child with the Dizzy Dean League, playing up to the Little League Championship.
Matt was well known in the music industry. He played drums, piano, and enjoyed song writing. He also played drums for a local church in Florida. He was very artistic and musically inclined.
Matt could do anything he put his mind to. He started a company, Simply Lit where he set up Christmas decorations for clients in Atlanta and Florida. He has served many customers, some including celebrities like Tyler Perry and Steve Harvey.
His hobbies included surfing, scuba diving, skateboarding, and drawing sketches and murals. Matt also loved to travel and spend time with family and friends.
Matt is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Callista and Jacob Cochran; daughter, McKenzie Dixon; mother, Vicki Dixon, father, Larry Dixon; brother, Bryan Bridges; brother, Chris Bridges; sister, Brittany Dixon; grandmother, Joyce Holland.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, November 6, 2021, 3:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends for visitation prior to the service from 2:00-3:00 PM at the funeral home.
