Jane was born on Sept. 8, 1935, in Indian Head, PA. She was the son of the late Ernest and Blanche Hostetler Pritts.
On Dec. 11, 1954, Jane married the love of her life, William "Bill" McMillen. He preceded her in death on July 26, 2020.
For many years, Jane kept an eye on countless children in the neighborhood -- some of them relatives and others not -- but, to Jane, they were all family. So much more than a babysitter, Jane took her work as a caregiver with the utmost of importance and she touched the lives of these children -- and their children -- in ways only God knows. She lived out her faith every day by loving God and loving people, and this was clearly evident to her family and friends.
Family was everything to Jane, but she was also devoted to her church, the Indian Head Church of God. She served the church and her community with her years of dedication to the Churches of God Women's Ministries, WCSC.
For many years, Jane and Bill enjoyed traveling and camping, touring around the states and even into Canada.
Her genuine love and compassion was expressed in endless ways to those around her. One of the ways in which Jane will be remembered fondly by many people is by her knack for making the best fruit cobblers and cinnamon rolls.
Jane is survived by her children Douglas and Debra McMillen of Acme, David and Barbara McMillen of Acme, and Darrin and Cathi McMillen of Pittsburgh. She is also survived by her older brothers, Harry "Jack" Pritts of Minnesota and Kyle Pritts of Maryland; a younger sister, Betty Freed of Indian Head; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Merle Pritts, Harold "Blaine" Pritts, Vernon Pritts and Howard "Clair" Pritts.
