Marion Schroeder

Marion Doris Schroeder, 80, of Watertown, passed away on Thursday afternoon, Sept. 20, 2007, at her home.

Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Watertown with the Rev. Terry Larson officiating. Burial will be in Glenview Memorial Gardens, Ixonia.

Visitation will be held at the Hafemeister Funeral Home on Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. and at the church Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

Memorials may be directed to the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church.

The former Marion D. Bleecker was born on April 20, 1927, in Milford, daughter of William and Doris (Marquardt) Bleecker. On Feb. 3, 1946, she married Chester A. Schroeder at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Watertown. He preceded her in death on Nov. 17, 1984.

Marion had been employed at Johnson Controls from 1963 until her retirement in 1994. She was a member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she was very involved with quilting. Marion loved spending time with and taking care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed sewing, knitting, jigsaw puzzles, and flower gardening.

Surviving are three children, Mary Lou (Gerald) Ebert of Watertown, Dennis (Jane) Schroeder of DeKalb, Ill., and Jeffrey (Lora) Schroeder of Watertown; nine grandchildren, Brian (Jolie) Ebert, Robby (Jennifer) Ebert, Julie (Michael) Johnson, Michael (Kelly) Schroeder, Matthew (Lindsay) Schroeder, Chester Schroeder, Charles (Leah) Schroeder, Chase Schroeder and Caitlyn Schroeder; 15 great-grandchildren, Brianna Ebert, Brittany Ebert, Bradley Ebert, Dakota Ebert, Kent Ebert, Colton Ebert, Claire Schroeder, Owen Schroeder, Evan Schroeder, Faith Schroeder, Austin Goodman, Kylie Schroeder, Nevaeha Schroeder, Jordan Schroeder and Emily Schroeder; one sister, Sally (David) Jankowski, three brothers, Allen (Evelyn) Bleecker, Robert (Joy) Bleecker and Bill (Alice) Bleecker.

Further preceding her in death were her parents; two brothers, George Bleecker and Kenneth Bleecker; and three sisters, JoAnn Frasier, Stella Krueger, and May Loeffler.
