Charles David "Jack" Davidson was born August 4, 1924, on a dairy farm near Linwood, Kansas and lived an extraordinary life. Jack trained in World War II as a gunner and radioman, and flew on medical evacuation planes in the South Pacific. After the war, he married Lutie May Hirning on July 9, 1947, and they were married 70 years until her death in 2017.

He graduated from the University of Kansas in 1950 with a petroleum engineering/geology degree. Jack worked for Phillips Petroleum Company for 30 years as general manager of South America, the Far East, Australia, and division president for Norway's North Sea operations which at the time constituted 39 percent of Phillips assets including a refinery in Teesside, England and a gas processing plant in Emden, Germany. He also represented Phillips in negotiations with China.

After Jack retired, he became the Director of Oil and Gas Conservation Division for the Oklahoma Corporation Commission. In his lifetime, he traveled to 87 islands, 63 countries, and flew on 53 different airlines. Jack was a kind and humble man who gave his children the opportunity to see the world.

He leaves behind two daughters, Diana Pfau (Zeno Pfau), and Debbi Dudley and one son, Dwight Davidson (deceased), three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He never bragged about any of his accomplishments instead saying "I'm just a farm boy from Kansas who got lucky in life."

Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Rose Hill Burial Park in Oklahoma City. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Urban Mission, located at 3737 N. Portland Ave Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73112, in memory of Jack.
