Paul retired from the United States Army as Sgt. 1st Class after 22 years of service.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 68 years, Dixie McAfee; two sons: Paul McAfee Jr., and Steven McAfee; one daughter, Debra Richards (Jay); one sister, Dorthy Keathley; two grandchildren: Kyle and Laura; and four great-grandchildren: Jed, Corinne, EJ, and Isla.
In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by two brothers: Hoyt McAfee and Earl McAfee; and two sisters: Sybil Foster and Doris Marsh.
Memorial services start at 2 p.m., Saturday, October 30, at Union Church 16th Section in McRae.
All Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Searcy McEuen Funeral Home.
