Joseph Charles Harris, aka "Joe Tex" or "Kokomo Joe," 40, of Terrell, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on October 14, 2021 in Dallas, Texas. He was born on January 1, 1981, in Scottsdale, Arizona, the son of Lisa (Kenneth) Taylor, of Terrell/Elmo, Texas, and Robert Charles (Cathy) Harris, of Phoenix, Arizona, who survive.

In addition to his parents, Joe is survived by his loving wife, Helen Harris, of Jones Creek, Texas; his dearly loved children, Matthew, Austin, George, Rylan, Emma, and Ansley; other additional children he loved deeply; loving grandmothers, Mary Schultz, Zora Taylor, and Irene Blaine; and he was Uncle Joe to a special few; he treasured his "brothers," Nate, Tony, Doug, Joseph, Kenmond, and Randy; very special aunt and uncle, Debbie and Al; and numerous other special family members and friends whom he cherished.

Joe was preceded in death by his loving and special grandfather, George Schultz.

Joe worked as a welder by trade, but will be remembered for his heart of gold and bringing light and laughter to others in adversity. "Don't pass by a sign flyer cause you never know" and would give his last dollar and mine!

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, November 13 at 1:00 p.m. at Londonderry Cemetery, Londonderry. Local arrangements have been entrusted to the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston. Condolences can be made on Joe's online guest registry at www.hillfhkingston.com.
