16-year-old teen killed in Lebanon car crash was also shot, police say
A 16-year-old Lebanon teenager killed in a car crash Wednesday had been shot moments earlier, according to Lebanon City Police.
Officials responded to a single vehicle crash around 3:30 p.m. just north of Lehman Street on North Sixth Street. The teen had accelerated south on 6th Street and struck parked vehicles. The vehicle overturned near Arnold Street and came to rest on the roof.
One person fled from the vehicle, according to police. Witnesses suggested that incident began between occupants in the vehicles and residents outside near North Sixth and Crowell streets, police said.
During that argument, a single gun-shot was fired into the passenger compartment before the crash.
