Clyde Ralph Dove, 95, passed away Saturday, October 30, 2021 after months of declining health. He was born September 24, 1926 in Harnett County to the late Thomas Boyd Dove and Varina Jordan Dove.
Clyde proudly served his country in the US Navy and retired from Servisco as a salesman. Clyde was a charter member of Knightdale United Methodist Church, and served on various committees and roles for over 65 years.
He is survived by his daughters: Beth Dove Dean (Tim) of Wake Forest, Janet "Jan" Dove Powell (Jimmy) of Franklinton; grandchildren: Brandon Powell (Mandi Garcia), Devin Clarke, Brock Clarke (Leigh Myers), Lindsey Powell (AJ Privette); great-grandchildren: Summer Powell, Jaxson Clarke, Lane Privette, Cole Clarke, and Henley Powell due to arrive in two weeks. He also had numerous nieces and nephews that were a very special part of his life.
In addition to his parents, Clyde was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Mangum Dove; daughter, Debra Jean Dove; sisters: Mary Holt, Doris Daniels, Kat Baker; brothers: Thomas Dove, James Dove, and Buddy Dove.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at Knightdale United Methodist Church, 7071 Forestville Road, Knightdale, NC 27545. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors.
The family will receive relatives and friends prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Knightdale United Methodist Church or Transitions LifeCare.
