Milton, NH-Mary Jeanette (Ward) Jacobs passed away at her home surrounded by her family on October 2, 2021 after a period of declining health, at the age of 87.

Mary was born in Milton, NH on November 13, 1933, daughter of Donald F. Ward and Jeanette E. (Blouin) Ward. She resided in the area all of her life, going to Nute High School in Milton. She was very active in basketball and softball, winning many awards for her athletic abilities. She graduated in 1951. June 5, 1954, she married Joseph E. Jacobs and together they built their home in Milton, where they resided for over 60 years.

Mary worked at numerous businesses in the area over the years, JCPennys, Spaulding Fiber, Spaulding Counter, and Cabletron before retiring around 1997 to care for her mother. Thru the years both Mary and Joe enjoyed camping and traveling to Disney World. They spent years camping on Ossipee Lake with their family and became close to many "camping family" friends that she stayed in touch with long after they stopped camping. Mary always had a special place in her heart for all animals but got such joy in feeding deer in her backyard, seeing the same mommas come back year after year with their new babies, and loved dogs and cats, especially her daughter's dog Sascha, and grandkids dogs, Anna and Delilah.

Mary is survived by her daughter Denise (Jacobs) Brozeau of Milton, NH, a granddaughter Angela Brozeau Bushnell (Mark) of Milton, NH, a grandson, Corey J Brozeau (Amber) of Lebanon, ME and a great grandson, Connor J Brozeau of Lebanon, ME whom she adored, nieces, nephews and a few very special friends, She was pre-deceased by her husband Joseph, and her parents Donald F Ward and Jeanette E Ward.

The family would like to thank all the nurses and people at Cornerstone Hospice and Palliative Care for all the help and time spent to making Mary's last wishes become a reality. And of course all friends that supported her and the family thru a very difficult time.

Visitation will be on Tuesday October 5, 2021 for 1 hour from 10am-11am with service to follow, at Grondin Funeral Home 177 North Main Street, Rochester, NH with a private committal service at the cemetery after.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Cornerstone VNA at https://cornerstonevna.org/donate/ or NHASPCA at https://nhspca.org/donate-today/
