Mae Barnes, 91, of Russellville, Ark., passed away, Monday, October 25, 2021, at St. Mary's Regional Med Center. The daughter of Susie Tedford Nichols, she was born September 17, 1930, in Ozark.

Mae will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a member of Bethany Missionary Baptist Church and enjoyed sewing, canning, garage sales, reading her Bible, and spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Lester Barnes; her parents; a great-granddaughter, Taylor Barnes; and a great-grandson, Joshua Wing.

Mae is survived by her son, Kenneth Barnes (Kathleen); her daughter, Glenda Van Buren; five grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

A private committal service will be held at the new Chapel of Light at the J. Herman Humphrey Dignity Cremation Center by Humphrey Funeral Service. Internet obituary and on-line guest book are available at: www.humphreyfuneral.com.
