Mae will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a member of Bethany Missionary Baptist Church and enjoyed sewing, canning, garage sales, reading her Bible, and spending time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Lester Barnes; her parents; a great-granddaughter, Taylor Barnes; and a great-grandson, Joshua Wing.
Mae is survived by her son, Kenneth Barnes (Kathleen); her daughter, Glenda Van Buren; five grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
