Betty was born in Charleston, West Virginia to Harold and Etta (Scott) Spradling. She married James C. Matthews on 11 August 1954. They had two sons: Harold Richard and Harry Lee. They moved to Florida in 1964. James died 20 August 1981. Betty retired from Harris, Inc. She later married Anthony Zotich 06 May 1993. Anthony died July 2021 and is buried in New Jersey. Betty son, Harold, moved her to Autumn Trace Assisted Living in Indiana where she would be close to family. Betty is survived by her sons: Harold and Harry Matthews; granddaughter Elaine Catherine Matthews Honeycut and husband Brooks; great grandson Jay Honeycut, sister Barbara Lou Spradling Roberts, nieces: Elizabeth Roberts- McKarris, Claudia Roberts-Christman, Ann Roberts-Lucas, Kimberly Spradling-Hammer and nephew Clarence Spradling Jr. Betty was proceeded in death by her parents: Harold and Etta (Scott) Spradling, husbands: James C. Matthews and Anthony Zotich, and brother Clarence Edward Spradling.
