Glen H. Rhodes
Glen Harris "Dusty" Rhodes, 81, of Davis, passed away Feb. 6, 2006, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pa. He was born Oct. 14, 1924, at Elk Garden, a son of the late Henry Harrison and Laura Alta Paugh Rhodes. He was never married. He is survived by two brothers, Edward "Charles" Rhodes of Clarksburg and Joe Rhodes of Charlottesville, Va.; and two sisters, Marcella Paugh of Elk Garden and Cora Barlow of Tunnelton. He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister. Mr. Rhodes was a laborer and former Town of Davis employee. He was a U.S. Army World War II veteran, a member of American Legion Post 071 of Oakland, Md., and Fraternal Order of Eagles 936 of Davis. Dusty enjoyed hunting and really enjoyed fishing. He was a Protestant by faith. Friends will be received from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hinkle Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, at the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Eli Hostetler officiating. Interment will follow in Elk Garden Cemetery. Hinkle Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
