Obituary
Russell Albert White, age 93, of Whittemore, Michigan passed away Monday, October 4, 2021 under the loving care of his family and hospice at Tawas Village in East Tawas, Michigan.

Russell was born September 26, 1928 in Mason Township, Michigan to the late Lou I. and Rachel P. (Singer) White. He enlisted in the United States Army January 4, 1951 and served proudly in the heavy tank division until his honorable discharge December 19, 1952 during the Korean War. Russell married the former Lillian Lichota while on furlough and together raised three children, Russell, Lily Marlane and Trina. He and Lillian lived on a farm near Whittemore where he loved growing grain and threshing, working with his John Deere tractors, running a sawmill and ever day life. Russell spent many hours in his work shop making beautiful furniture and other objects using the red cherry from his farm. He was a member of Pioneer Power Tractor and Engine Club of West Branch. He was a retiree of West Branch Industries. Russell's most cherished past time was teaching his children and grandchildren to ride bicycles without training wheels and taking them on every bike ride he took. Even as small children, Russell took them on rides in a hand made basket for them to come with him.

Russell is survived by his loving wife, Lillian; son, Russell (Debbie) White of Chattanooga, Tennessee; daughters, Lily Marlane (Thomas) Mier of New Baltimore, Ohio and Trina White of Whittemore, Michigan; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Jeanette Lichota; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Russell was preceded in death by sister, Gladys (Arnold) Irrer and brother, Louis (Marge) White; father and mother-in-law, Anthony and Catherine Lichota; brother-in-law, Ted Lichota; nephew, Harold May; nieces, Connie Devault and Susan Russell.

Interment will follow in Cedar Valley Cemetery with military honors.
