Lorraine A. Taylor, 87, passed away September 25, 2021 at the Merrimack County Nursing Home in Boscawen, NH. She was born May 18, 1934 in Dover, NH, daughter of the late Alphonse Laprise and Alice (Fortin) Laprise.
Lorraine grew up in Northwood, NH and was one of two daughters in the family. On December 1, 1951 she married Paul M. Taylor and they had resided the last 70+ years in Deerfield, NH. They had 5 children together and Lorraine was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother for her family. Later, she was employed and retired from E&R Cleaners in Manchester, NH where she specialized in sewing and sorting. Lorraine enjoyed being home, cooking, and baking. In the summers, she spent many hours canning. Her specialties were bread and butter pickles and relish. In her earlier years, she and Paul enjoyed going to barn dances and they were very good at polka dancing.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Paul on November 13, 2020 and her sister, Jacqueline Hebert.
She is survived by her 5 children, Bruce Taylor, Linda Widmer, Peter Taylor, Steven Taylor, Wendy Taylor, 6 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, September 30, 2021 from 4:00-6:00 PM at the Brewitt Funeral Home, Raymond, NH.
Burial will be in the Prospect Cemetery, Epping, NH at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the NH Food Bank, 700 East Industrial Park Dr., Manchester, NH 03109.
