Janice married Marion Davis Clark on February 6, 1953, in the Logan Temple, and moved to Soda Springs, Idaho, shortly thereafter. They were then blessed with four beautiful children, Lyle, Wade, Robert, and Patricia. Janice and Marion spent over 50 years in the Soda Springs community, where they made cherished, life-long friends.
Janice was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, where she held many different positions in her life. Janice served as a librarian, young women's president, relief society presidency, just to name a few. Janice and Marion served over a decade as temple workers. They also served missions for the church in Atlanta, Georgia, Washington, DC, and Chicago, Illinois. We all enjoyed hearing stories from their missions. She was also honored to participate in the ground breaking ceremony of the Pocatello temple.
Gammy Clark was a woman of many talents. She excelled in math and English. She was our champion Scrabble and Quiddler player. She loved to quilt, sing, play the piano, and work in her yard and garden. And of course, she was an amazing cook!
Janice was constantly upbeat, funny and positive, even through the trials she faced in life. She always found the bright side in the challenges that confronted her. She had the wonderful ability to sincerely care about everyone. Her super power was positivity, just what the world needs more of. She loved people for what she saw in them without judgment, and by doing so, she touched the lives of many.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Clark, and her son Robert (Sue), and her four older brothers. She is survived by her children Lyle (Phyllis), Wade (Pam), Patricia (Kurt) Norgard and Sue and Robert Goodenough, her sister Linda (Dee) Hansen, and 18 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at Noon at the Soda Springs LDS Stake Center.
