Robert D. Perkins, 71, of Anderson, passed away Friday, October 29, 2021, at Community Hospital in Anderson following a brief illness.
He was born December 23, 1949, in Anderson to Clinton and Christine Perkins.
Robert attended Madison Heights High School in Anderson.
He retired from Firestone Corporation in Noblesville after 31 years.
Robert enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Robert enjoyed playing Santa Clause at Christmas time. He also enjoyed working with his hands.
He is survived by his wife Karen "Sue" Perkins of Anderson; two children, Connie Jo (Andrew) Stone of Anderson, and James (Stephanie) Perkins of Surprise, AZ; sister, Theresa (George) Corrie of KY; grandchildren, Jacob (Tashae) Gray, Cody (Heather) Gray, Emily Perkins, Zachary Perkins, and Sierrah Cunningham; great-grandchildren, Victoria Gray and Na'Kyah Gray. He was also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; and several brothers and sisters.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, at Hersberger-Bozell Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel, Indiana with Andrew Stone officiating. Burial will follow in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
