Nova Ann Boatwright, age 1, of North Kansas City, Missouri passed away on Thursday, October 14, 2021. Nova was born August 28, 2020.

Born at 7lb 11oz, Nova was a super bright star that sparked so much joy in our lives. She enjoyed dancing and clapping to any theme song, whether that was Sesame Street, Song of the Day, The Office or Big Bang Theory. You could get lost in her big bright blue eyes and smile. She loved being outside, watching her daddy build her the perfect deck, climbing on anything and everything. She loved to play in the leaves and being pushed on swings. She had no fear. She loved the color green, exotic fruits, and books. Our sweet baby girl had so much joy and love for life and others. She knew how to give the biggest and best snuggles.

Sweet Nova is survived by her parents, Christie Ann Samples and John Brandon Boatwright; maternal grandparents Cindy and Tom Samples; paternal grandparents Sharon and John Boatwright, Susan Zimmerman-Boatwright and Bill Zimmerman; and great grandparents Vivian Samples and Sue Fitzsimons; and everyone's life she touched along the way.

In lieu of flowers, for Nova's love of outdoors and the color green, please send plants, so that the family can enjoy and watch these grow on HER deck.

A visitation for Nova will be held Thursday, October 21, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 am at Newcomer's White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 NE Antioch Road, Gladstone, MO 64119. Immediately following services there will a catered reception for all to continue sharing memories of Nova with the family.
