Connie Dianne (Bingham) James was born on 20 Oct 1951 in Phenix City, Lee County, Alabama to Thomas Avery Bingham and Martha Elizabeth (Moore) Bingham. She died on 27 Oct 2021 in Forest Home, Butler County, Alabama seven days after her 70th birthday. She was a graduate of Choctaw County High School. She, also, was a graduate of Alabama Southern in Gilbertown, Choctaw County, Alabama and received her Bachelor's Degree from the University of West Alabama in Livingston. Connie enjoyed music and dancing. She was an avid Elvis fan. She was a lifetime member of the International Singing Brakeman Association. She loved helping others and participating in many events within the community, including Relay for Life. She was, also, very active in Veteran's Day parades, VFW and DAV Auxiliaries. She helped organize blood drives for United Blood Services. She volunteered at Choctaw Health & Rehab, nursing homes, and other various hospices in the surrounding area. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Butler and Women of Faith.
Upon being diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer, Connie refused to accept it as a death sentence. She continued to live life. She would always say, "I'm not worried - God's Got This!"
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Mitchell James; and daughter Christine Elizabeth James. She is survived by one son, one daughter, four grandchildren, one great-grandchild, two brothers, and two sisters.
