Mrs. Mary Louise Adams Hunt, age 100, formerly of Barnesville, passed away Monday, October 29, 2007 in an Alabama Healthcare Facility. Mrs. Hunt was a native of Lamar County, but had lived in Birmingham for several years. Daughter of the late Mr. William Jerry Adams and the late Mrs. Ettie Mae Jones Adams, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Franklin Fariss Hunt, and by her son, Mr. William Jerry Hunt. She had worked for 25 years as the City Clerk in College Park, and had formerly worked with the Barnesville Housing Authority. Mrs. Hunt had been a long time member of the First United Methodist Church of Barnesville.
Survivors include: 1 Grand Daughter - Mary Jo Wiley of Birmingham, AL ; 1 Grandson - Howard Fariss Hunt of Pensacola, FL ; 3 Great Grand Daughters - Katherine Brooks Wiley ; Lillian Adams Wiley ; & Mary Atkins Hunt ; 1 Daughter-in-law - Edith Hunt of Birmingham, AL ; & 1 Brother - Bill Adams of Columbus.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Mary Louise Adams Hunt will be conducted from the Graveside on Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at 2:30 pm in Greenwood Cemetery with Reverend Jay Tenney officiating. The family will receive friends at Williams Funeral Home of Barnesville Wednesday, October 31, from 1:00pm until 2:00pm, prior to the service.
The family suggests that those who wish may make Memorial Contributions to the First United Methodist Church, 375 Thomaston Street, Barnesville, GA 30204.
