Mary Townsend was born in 1742 in North Carolina and married John Hagin in that state according to records produced by ancestry. However, The actual date marriage is not shown. Their first live child was born in 1770 or so and it is widely presumed and continuously populated by those who simply copy other people's trees. At this time we have no way of knowing when they married. Most people did not wait until they were 25 and 27 respectively to marry in those days. If anyone can get actual proof of the marriage date please pass it along. Thank you. Additionally, more people than I can count have her death date as 1850 which would make her 108 years old.
