Gideon Anderson was born in 1737, in Virginia, British Colonial America. He married Elizabeth Steppe about 1757, in Virginia, British Colonial America. They were the parents of at least 5 sons and 3 daughters. He lived in North Carolina, British Colonial America from 1764 to 1773. He died in 1802, in Wilkes, Georgia, United States, at the age of 65.
