Justin "Jess" G. Russell, age 80, of Jeffersonville, passed peacefully, at his daughter's home in Potsdam, on Thursday, October 28, 2021.

Born in Ironton on September 23, 1941, he was the youngest of the ten children of Floyd and Effie Keaton Russell.

Justin was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Sharon Davis Russell, who passed March 2, 2021. The two were united in marriage on September 3, 1965.

Justin was a concrete worker and previously worked for Cedarville Limestone and Gravel. He was passionate about horses; he loved to ride and train. Although he maintained a stern household, Justin became a softened man, through the Grace of God. He developed a renewed faith and an opened heart in his final months. Justin really grew to appreciate the companionship of his four daughters.

Left to cherish his memory are four daughters: Teresa (Alan) Grooms of Jeffersonville, Tina (Wayne Pennington) Huffman of Potsdam, Ginger Maynard of Bloomingburg, and Gayla (Albert) Sears of Hillsboro; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and a host of other family members.

Justin was preceded in death by his parents, two grandchildren, and his siblings: Jean Mongold, Ruth Russell, Mae Collins, Georgie Havens, Floyd, Jr., Peter, Robert, Darrell, and Norman Russell.

Family will receive friends at Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, on Monday, November 1, 2021, from 11am -12 pm, when a funeral service will begin. Burial to follow at Koontz Cemetery in Fayette County
