George Paul, 92 of Hillman, Michigan died peacefully at MediLodge Grand Traverse County on October 9, 2021. He was born in Arenzville, Illinois on July 28, 1929 to the late, Bartle and Agatha (Bock) Paul. He served his country proudly in the United States Marine Corps. George was very devoted to music. He wrote sheet music, played the guitar and the organ, and was never found at a party or gathering without an instrument. He also played the keyboard and piano. He enjoyed playing horseshoes, flying his plane, fishing, camping, and hunting. When he was younger he loved to play baseball and him and his brother made up their own team. He also enjoyed racing cars. George worked for Farrier Lumber and then opened his own business called Paul's Radio and TV. Above everything, George valued time with family and will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his children, Ronald (Diana) Paul; Jim Paul both of Hillman; Bette Simonye of Lachine; Mary (Mark) Peplinski of Ingalls, Kansas; Tammy (Nathan) Thomson of Alpena; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Robert (Pat) Paul of Fayetteville, North Carolina; stepdaughter, Patti (Pat) Jones of Lachine; and stepson, Bill Briley. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bartle and Agatha Paul; one son, Robert; eight brothers and three sisters; son-in-law, Bruce; and stepsons, Jerry and Dave Briley.

Funeral services for Mr. Paul will take place at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at Green Funeral Home, Hillman. Visitation will take place from noon until time of service. Interment will follow services at Hillman Rust Township Cemetery.
