My grandmother had 7 siblings. Mary, Frank, Joseph, Bessie, John, Rosemarie and Bessie who died at 2months old.


My grandparents worked hard for what they had in America, working at a shoe factory in Johnson City, New York. I can remember going to my grandmother's house when I was a child, her teaching me how to speak Czech, the smells of her wonderful cooking and most of all the Kolackies at Christmas time.

She was a wonderful woman and truly missed.


Anna had two sons:

Frederick J - May 6, 1929-Aug. 15, 2023

Donald J - Sept 1, 1937-May 18, 2005
