Wayne was born July 29, 1946 in Blue Mountain, Arkansas to the late Joe & Margie Vanzaint Sloan. Wayne enjoyed playing bluegrass, making knives and jewelry. Wayne was known for his sense of humor and charm and loved to play a good joke.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ruth Ann Sloan.
Survivors include his children, Raona Sloan of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Jay Sloan of Lowell; and Dee Sloan of Springdale; step-daughters, Jennifer Mitchell and Brigette Cobb both of Danville; brother, Pat Sloan of Muleshoe, Texas and six grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 10:00 am Monday, November 1, 2021 at the Upper Spring Creek Freewill Baptist Church with Bro. Steve Downum officiating. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 pm Sunday, October 31, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Upper Spring Creek Cemetery.
