June Marlene Bauman, 69, peacefully went to be with the Lord at 5:30am on October 29th in St. Rita's Medical Center. Her long struggle with kidney failure and leukemia has ended and she is now celebrating in Heaven with the Savior she loved so much. Born

October 31, 1951 in Lima, Ohio to Graydon and Dorris Watt.

She married her high school sweetheart, Jim Bauman, on March 4, 1970. Jim survives in Cridersville.

June was a 1970 graduate of Bath High School who worked at various jobs around the Lima area while raising the two children she adored. She considered her family as her greatest treasure this side of heaven and counted her greatest job in life as being their mother and guide. From the 90's to 2009, June was the office manager for Topline Construction in Lima.

In 1976 June accepted the Lord as her Savior. Several years later she and her family began attending Shawnee Alliance Church where she remained an active member for the rest of her life. After giving her life to the Lord, June served Him in many ways, including teaching Sunday School and vacation Bible School, helping with dinners in the church kitchen, mentoring women who needed a friend, and being involved in various church groups. Passionate about her faith, she could be found nearly every Sunday morning greeting people at the doors of Shawnee Alliance. June considered her many Christian friends to be part of her family. She and Jim spent many hours volunteering at Our Daily Bread ministries in her last few years serving meals nearly every Tuesday and Thursday until she was physically no longer able to do so. For the past few years, she and Jim have spent a part of the cold Ohio winters in Englewood, Florida enjoying the company of both old friends and the new friends they made there who they grew very fond of.

A devoted wife and mother who was deeply involved in the lives of those she held dear, June enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, living each day to the fullest relying on the Lord to guide her. June had a trusting, generous, and thankful spirit and was rarely seen without a smile on her face. Her favorite times were those spent in the company of her children, grandchildren, and friends. She loved to laugh, share memories, play cards, or just be with the people she cared about, and we will miss her deeply.

Preceded in death by her parents.

June is survived by her husband of 51 years, Jim; a son, Jayson (Darla) Bauman of Katy, Texas; a daughter Jennifer Bauman of Canal Winchester, Ohio; two grandchildren: Graydon and Teagan Bauman of Katy, Texas; a sister Annette (Jody) Newland, of Cridersville; Brothers in law Ronald Bauman, Dennis Bauman, Michael Bauman, Greg Bauman; Sisters in law JoAnn Delong, Rita Klaparda, Sharon Young; and several nieces and nephews.

June's celebration of life will be held at Shawnee Alliance Church, 4455 Shawnee Road, on Monday, November 1st. Pastors Kris Browning and Daniel Messner will officiate. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 am at the church followed by a celebration of June's life beginning at 11am. Graveside service and interment at Memorial Park Mausoleum will follow.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Shawnee Alliance Church building fund or to the charity of the givers' choice.
