Scott Moore, 49, of Waxhaw, NC, passed away on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at Atrium Health in Monroe.
Scott was born on October 17, 1972 in Macon, Georgia, son to Pat Moore and the late Marshall Moore.
He graduated from East Mecklenburg High School and attended UNC-Wilmington. He was the Optical Manager at Costco in Matthews where he enjoyed meeting and helping people.
Scott enjoyed watching baseball and loved coaching baseball at Union Academy and with other travel and recreational teams. His wife and family were his pride and joy and Scott loved taking trips to the beach and Disney World with them. He also enjoyed spending time doing anything outdoors.
Survivors in addition to his mother Pat Moore include his beloved wife of 26 years Christy Sossamon Moore; his loving children Maddie & Brett Moore; his brother
Marshall "Marty" Moore, III (Wendy); his special dogs Brownie & Sophie; and by numerous other family members and friends.
An informal viewing and visitation will be held on Monday, November 1, 2021 from 10:00AM until 11:15AM at Pleasant Plains Baptist Church, 3316 Pleasant Plains Church Road, Matthews, NC 28105 followed by an 11:30 AM graveside service in the Church Cemetery.
