Constance M. Bown, age 83, of Gloversville, passed away peacefully Thursday, October 28, 2021 at her home with her loving family at her side.

She was born May 22, 1938 in Johnstown, the daughter of the late Douglas and Mary Slavic Marshall.

She was a stay-at-home mom raising her seven children and was later employed as a Human Resources Coordinator at Nathan Littauer Hospital until she retired in 2003.

Connie loved to dance and sing which led her to enjoy opportunities such as singing on the radio and performing on television. She was a long-time devoted member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.

She is survived by seven children, Eric Bown (Stephanie Salisbury), Brian Bown (Margit), Mary Katherine VanDeusen (Donald), Stephanie DeMichele (Mark), Vanessa DiNitto (Paul), Erica Abdella (Robert) and Matthew Bown; 12 grandchildren, David and Logan Bown, Fahren Herr and Zachary VanDeusen, Patrick and Trevor Glenn, Andrew and Caroline DiNitto, George and Cameron Abdella, and Tyler and Gavin Bown; a brother, Douglas Marshall; a cousin, Claudia Ginter, as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, he was predeceased by her husband of 42 years, James F. Bown.
