Blanca V. Hernández was born in Puerto Cortes, Honduras on February 12th of 1965 and passed away at the age of 56 at Baptist Health on Sunday, October 24th of 2021, in the city of Louisville, Kentucky.
She is survived by her daughters Blayri and Monica Amaya, and her son-in-law, Roger Jimenez. Her sisters, María Taveras, Josefina Hernandez, Emma Hernandez and Miriam Villafranca, her Brother Rafael Santos and many nieces and nephews.
Blanca was a beloved elementary school teacher and high school counselor for many years. She will be remembered dearly by her students, whom she considered her own children, her fellow teachers whom she considered family.
Blanca loved crafting, enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and friends. She was a fierce advocate of family bonding and love.
Blanca Hernández is preceded in death by her father Erasmo Santos Antúnez, her mother Maria de Los Angeles Hernandez, and her husband of 23 years, Rigoberto Amaya.
