She is survived by her daughters Blayri and Monica Amaya, and her son-in-law, Roger Jimenez. Her sisters, María Taveras, Josefina Hernandez, Emma Hernandez and Miriam Villafranca, her Brother Rafael Santos and many nieces and nephews.
Blanca was a beloved elementary school teacher and high school counselor for many years. She will be remembered dearly by her students, whom she considered her own children, her fellow teachers whom she considered family.
Blanca loved crafting, enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and friends. She was a fierce advocate of family bonding and love.
Blanca Hernández is preceded in death by her father Erasmo Santos Antúnez, her mother Maria de Los Angeles Hernandez, and her husband of 23 years, Rigoberto Amaya.
