Philip W. Stephens, 69, of Barling passed away Sunday, October 24, 2021, in a local hospital.

He was retired from the Arkansas & Missouri Railroad, and a past funeral director in England, Ark. He is formerly of Gurdon, being of the graduating class of the 1969 Gurdon High School. He was a 1984 graduate of the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service in Dallas, Texas, and a locomotive engineer having worked 16 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents Paul H. and Faye Lorraine (Marshall) Stephens.

Graveside services were 12 noon, Thursday October 28, 2021, at Rosehedge Cemetery in Gurdon, Ark., under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren, Ark.

He is survived by one daughter, Stephanie Lynn Abell of Maumelle, Ark.; one son, Paul Wayne Stephens of England, Ark.; and one stepson, Ronnie Inskeep of Morrilton, Ark.; five grandchildren; a special friend, Charles Brooks of Greenwood, Ark.
