Mr. Donald "Don" Wolfe, 84, of Waynesboro, PA passed away Sunday, October 24, 2021, in his home.

Born December 1, 1936 in Waynesboro, he was the son of the late Glen D. Wolfe and Louise (Weaver) Eyler. He was a lifelong resident of the Waynesboro area.

He graduated from Waynesboro High School with the Class of 1955.

Mr. Wolfe served with the United States Air Force from June 7, 1955 until January 20, 1959. He later served with the Army National Guard.

He and his wife of over 62 years, Helen E. (Banzhoff) Wolfe, were married on April 12, 1959 in the Evangelical Lutheran Church, Waynesboro.

Mr. Wolfe worked at Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg, where he received numerous awards for exceptional performance. He retired on March 27, 1993. He later worked for several years at Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, Waynesboro.

He was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church, Waynesboro, where he was a Sunday School teacher, served on church council and was a member of the usher committee. He was also active in the Boy Scouts, where he was a member in his youth and went on to be a Scout Leader and Unit Commissioner.

Mr. Wolfe played football for the Waynesboro Tigers and was active with the class reunion committee. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, traveling and Washington Redskins football.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Sue Mason and her husband, Greg of Waynesboro, Pam Darby and her husband, Kevin of Herndon, VA and Wendy Hall and her husband, Brian of Waynesboro; four grandchildren, Benjamin, Bronson, Sara and Rena; one sister, Betsy Poe of Chambersburg; one brother, John Eyler of Fayetteville; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Patricia Kint.

Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, November 2, 2021 in the Evangelical Lutheran Church, 43 S. Potomac St., Waynesboro, with Pastor Dennis Beaver and Pastor Drahus Oslik officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro, where military honors will be conducted by the honor guard of Charles Nitterhouse V.F.W. Post #1599, Chambersburg.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Monday evening, in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro.
