Jackie Darrell Brown, 79, of 156 Bobcat Trail, Cowpens, S.C. went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at his residence.
Born in Greeneville, Tennessee, he was the husband of Vicki Louise Medford Brown and son of the late James Nelson Brown and Nora Lee Kelly Brown.
He was previously employed by Daniel Construction, retired from PPM, and a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church. He loved his family, cattle farming, cutting grass, and was an avid Tennessee Volunteer fan.
Surviving in addition to his wife is a son, Robert Nelson Brown (Kim) of Spartanburg, S.C.; two daughters, Teresa Thomas (Billy) and Leslie Jarvis (Brad), both of Cowpens; a sister, Helen Adams (Don) of Kingsport, Tn.; four grandchildren, Haley Mullinax (Logan), Damion Jarvis (Dana), SPC Brandon Jarvis (Kimberly) and Dawson Jarvis (Brianna); three great-grandchildren, Levi, Weslyn and Garrett; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Emory Brown and Johnny Brown.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Monday, November 1, 2021 at Mount Olive Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 p.m. at the Church with Reverend Dennis Spencer and Reverend Murl Lehman officiating. Interment will be in the Mount Olive Baptist Church Cemetery. Social distancing and masks are requested.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Mount Olive Baptist Church, 250 Mount Olive Road, Cowpens, S.C. 29330.
