Brandon Michael Bennett, 26, of Friendsville, MD, passed away, Monday, October 18, 2021, after seven months of health issues.

Born January 24, 1995, in Oakland, MD, he was the son of Jessica Stripling and David Bennett. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Joseph and Elaine Bennett.

He was a graduate of Northern Garrett County High School and a landscaper.

Brandon spent his childhood on many adventures, spending his summers with his extended family in Chicago, RVing to places like the Badlands and Yellow Stone, cruising with his mom and best friend, Robert to places like Mexico, Bermuda and Jamaica. He loved to travel and was always willing to explore new places but also loved to come home to the country.

He was a lifelong fan of the Baltimore Ravens and Chicago Bulls. He loved to joke around and tease people about how bad all other teams were and he was never seen without his trademark Bulls or Ravens hats.

Brandon was a true friend to his friends, always ready to offer words of encouragement and love. He cared about people in the best way, he loved and accepted them for who they were. He was described as the best hype man and for making people feel better on their worse days. His love for his friends was immense and genuine.

Along with his parents, he is also survived by his beloved little sister, Felicia Bennett; step-sister, Tori Fike; sister, Jeweletta Eddy; brother, Kade Conley; his bonus siblings, cousins, Kaydence and Trevor DeWitt; great-grandmother, Lois Stripling; grandparents, Thomas (Ruth Nehrbass) Stripling, Kim (Raymond) Schroyer; aunts and uncles, Erika (Wosela) Cofie, Katelynn Lacey, Reanna Schroyer, Stephanie Faluski, Michael (Robin) Stripling, and Robert Jamison; cousins, Brett, Amber, Kylie, Mason, Senyo, Seyram, Ethan, Gayle, Vicky and Mitch; great-aunts and uncles, Eloise, Joyce, Raymond, Paul and Diane; and his very loyal 18 year old fur brother, Squirt.

In addition to his family, Brandon is also survived by many lifelong friends that he considered family including, Tyler Yutzy (and the entire Yutzy family), Robert Hill, Aishah Smith, his cousin, Tyler Garlitz, Danielle and Whitney Detrick and many, many others.

Brandon was the love of his mother's life and will be eternally missed.

Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 943 Second Ave., Friendsville, on Monday, November 8, 2021, from 1-3 p.m. A Memorial Service will follow in the funeral home at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Philip Smith officiating. Interment will be in the Steele Cemetery, Friendsville.
