Alexandrina "Shandra" (Mongillo) Folcik, 80, of Southington, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 17, 2021. She was the wife of the late John Folcik.
She was born on April 5, 1941, the daughter of the late Lincoln and Alexandrina (Coutinho) Mongillo. Shandra was a graduate of Albertus Magus College. She was a Teacher at Goodwin Technical for 23 years retiring in 2003.
She is survived by her son John M. Folcik and wife Kathleen of Southington, her daughter Melissa Whelan and husband William of New Bedford, MA, her grandchildren William and Kelsey Whelan, her brother Lincoln Mongillo and her sister Dr. Mary Jane Williams and husband Dr. Michael Williams of Martha's Vineyard and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a granddaughter Catherine Whelan.
She was a member of St. Thomas Church and the Ladies Guild. She enjoyed outings with her friends and phone calls with her grandchildren.
