Double Wedding
The News failed to mention last week the double wedding which occurred on the previous Thursday. The principals were: Mr. Ardill C. Meeks and Miss Alta Findley, and Mr. W. R. Wilson and Miss Myrtle Findley. They were married on the Lincoln bridge in the park at Sulphur, a double ceremony being performed by the minister, Rev. Snodgrass, pastor of First Methodist church. Quite a crowd gathered to witness the romantic wedding.
The contracting parties are well known and popular young people in Davis and Hennepin and have a host of friends. Mr. Meeks is postmaster and merchant at Hennepin. His bride is the daughter of W. M. Findley of Davis. Mr. Wilson (we call him Will in Davis) is a Davis raised boy, the son of Dr. G. J. Wilson. His bride is the daughter of T. J. Findley of Hennepin. The brides are cousins and are charming young ladies.
Our best wishes are extended both couples.
