Richard E. Dawson, 57, of West Frankfort, Illinois, passed away Thursday October 28, 2021 in Herrin Hospital at 3:00a.m.
Richard was born September 15, 1964 in Benton, Illinois to Edward and Jean (Hopkins) Dawson. Richard graduated from FCHS in 1982.
He is survived by his father and stepmother, Ed and Carolyn Dawson; mother, Jean Dawson; son, Garrett Cardwell; daughter, Callie Dawson; sister, Debbie Mayer; grandchildren, Garrett Michael Cardwell and Samantha Cardwell; great grandchild, Liam Carroll.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00p.m. Sunday, October 31, 2021 at Denning Cemetery on the Orient Road with Guy Webster officiating. There will be no visitation. Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery prior to the service.
