Obituary
Our wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend Audrey Leach Scott, was born in Kanab, Utah in 1935.
Audrey was the happiest when she was with her family members. Audrey and Wallace attended every school, church, music, theater, and sporting event of their children, grandchildren, and even great-grandchildren, which they could possibly attend. They could be heard clapping and cheering for their grandchildren at these events.
Family members fondly remember Audrey's homemade macaroni & cheese, homemade rolls, homemade cherry pies, and ice box chocolate cake.
Audrey loved to have a reason to celebrate with family in her home. She would barely take time herself to eat, as she was busily making sure everyone had just what they needed. In later, years she loved to attend family gatherings held at other family member's homes.
Audrey was very resourceful. She used what she had, made it do, and utilized everything to its maximum. Also, she would utilize her time and resources to willingly help others such as taking a meal to a neighbor, friend or family member. For many years Audrey and Wallace were involved in preparing and serving banquets at their church, Senior Citizen Center and the rock club they were involved in.
Audrey was a hard worker. She worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), at the school district as a 'lunch lady,' at a tire store, a concession service, and in department stores. She worked long hours to help provide for her children.
Audrey enjoyed recreational activities including: camping, vacations, visiting family and friends, and scenic drives to nearby canyons. The camper and travel trailer were well utilized recreational vehicles that made many trips to Payson Canyon.
Especially, in her later years, Wallace would often take Audrey, the love of his life, for a ride, not going anywhere in particular, just driving to enjoy the beauty and uniqueness of the outdoors. Wally and Audrey made the best of their time together doing what they could do.
Audrey was like her father, Sidney Leach in that she fought the good fight. She did not want to leave her family here on earth; however, her body had given it's all. Audrey was like her mother, Frances, and looked at the world through an artist's view making the images and events to be her own.
At 86 years old, Audrey passed away, in her home with many family members present. Audrey is survived by her husband of 66 years, Wallace Scott, who primarily cared for her and did all he could to make her happy and comfortable. Audrey is also survived by her brother, Del (April) Leach, and her children, Shawna (Tad) Norris, Kathy (Richard) Wood, Craig (Diane) Scott and Karen (Kevin) Barnes, along with 10 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren, who all love her dearly and will miss her greatly.
Audrey was preceded in death by her parents, Sidney and Frances Leach.

On Monday, November 1, 2021 from 6 pm to 8 pm, a viewing will be held at Goff Mortuary located at 8090 South State Street, Midvale, Utah.
On Tuesday, November 2, 2021 a brief viewing will be held prior to the funeral service at the LDS Midvale 5th East Ward church located at 7570 South 240 East, Midvale, Utah from 10:00 am to 10:45 am., the funeral service will follow at 11:00 am.
Interment will be held at the Lehi Cemetery, 1100 North 400 East North, Lehi, Utah.
