He worked for Tinker AFB as an Aircraft Mechanic for 24 years until his retirement. Danny married Patti Nickels on December 14, 1979, in Norman. He was Christian in faith and a member of the Ironworkers Union and the American Federal Government Employees Union Local 916. In his spare time, he enjoyed deer hunting, quail hunting, old cars, and watching western movies with his kids. Danny enjoyed working in the yard, hunting for treasure with his metal detector, and going to the casino with Rick Price. He was good with his hands and enjoyed working with wood and could fix almost anything. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with family, attending his kids' sporting events, and visiting with his close friends, Rick Price and Buford Nuckolls. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his father-in-law, James E. Nickels; his nephew, Wayne Burch; and his cousins, Steven Cochran and Edward Guy.
Danny is survived by his wife, Patti Jones of Blanchard; one son, Jason Jones of Blanchard; one daughter, Ashley Jones, of Blanchard; his granddog, Nala; his mother-in-law, Leveda Nickels of Dibble; one sister, Lisa Ann Burch and her husband, Mike, of Blanchard; one brother, Russell Lee Jones of Pennsylvania; sister-in-law, Susan M. Jones, of Pennsylvania; sister-in-law, Margie Armstrong and her husband, Gary, of Little Axe; brothers-in-law, Jimmy Nickels of Dibble and Chris Bennett of Mustang; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; and many other loved ones and friends.. Burial will follow in the Blanchard Cemetery
