James "Tyler" Barrett (AKA Skippy), age 28 of LaFayette, passed away on Saturday, October 23, 2021. He was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia area and had been employed at Wright construction for the past year. Tyler enjoyed being a country boy, hunting, fishing or taking one of his many Jeep Cherokees out in the mud. He was a loving father, son, grandson and friend who will be greatly missed. Tyler was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Buddy Barrett, Pat Carroll and Eddy Gilreath. He is survived by his loving parents, Teresa Carroll (Chris) Clark and Greg (Amy) Barrett, children, Ayedenn, Bella and Boone, fiancé, Alexis Stanley, siblings, Tripp Cheatham, Brandon Suttles, Becca Cheatham and Madison Blaschke, grandparents, Sherry Carroll, Ruth Barrett Mary Gilreath and Jim & Pat Clark, and several nieces, nephew, aunts, uncles and cousins. The funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm on Friday, October 29, 2021 in the funeral home chapel, with Dr. Darrell Henry officiating. Interment will follow in the LaFayette Memory Gardens.
