A native of Oklahoma, she had lived in the Kingsburg area for 59 years. She and her husband, Joseph R., owned and operated Ball's Department Store for many years. Mrs. Ball was a member of the United Methodist Church and was a past matron and a 50-year member of the Eastern Star. She was active in the American Legion Auxilixry Post # 191 and was a past president of that organization as well as being a past district director. She was a life member of the Kingsburg Gun Club Auxiliary and the Kingsburg Historical Society. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Ball is survived by a son, John Edginton of Berkeley.
Daughter of John H Miller and Tennie Ella (Cannon) Miller. Incorrectly listed in many family trees as being the daughter of John X Miller and Stella Ada Clement (my great-grandparents.) I had lots of Miller great-aunts, but Etta Bernice was not one of them. ~Michelle Rhea
