Lou Lorraine McGray passed away October 25, 2021 in her sleep at home in Belfast.
She was born in Roques Bluff, Maine on August 27, 1929, one of ten children, to David and Ester Sinford.
Lou grew up on the family farm, graduated from high school in Machias and then attended Husson College. After high school, she moved to Belfast where she worked for the school department.
Lou met and married Richard (Dick) McGray. They were blessed with a happy life and two children. Lou was a long-time member of the First Church where she worked on many different projects with her close friends.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Richard, brother David Sinford, sisters Electa Finney, Beatrice Norton, Ann Shoppe, Gloria Bridgam and Grace Buckham.
Surviving are her son Michael McGray, daughter Molly Riley, grandson Andrew Riley who was her pride and joy, sisters Mildred Lohr and Jean Grant, brother Leon Sinford, many nieces and nephews and her cat Joy.
She will be sadly missed.
Those who wish may make donations in her memory to First Church. A special thank you to Regina. Services for close friends and family will be held at the First Church at 11 a.m. November 6, 2021.
