Daniel House, born on March 3, 1947 passed away on Saturday October 23, 2021. He is proceeded in death by his loving wife of 54 years, Sandy House; his parents, Daniel & Emma House; brother, Basil House; and sister, Betty House. He is survived by his sister, June (Ron) Lenz; his daughter, Renee (Steve Nichols) Thomas, their children Meshele (Tim) Ouwinga, Richard (Stephanie) Senneker, Brandon Thomas, Steven, Zack and Samantha Nichols; and his daughter, Rachele (Steve) Sommer, their children Dean and Kyle Sommer. His great grandchildren, Reagan, Landon and Maxon Ouwinga. Several nieces and nephews. Dan served in the United States Army from 1968 until 1972. Dan retired from Martin Transport after over 30 years of being an OTR truck driver. One of the things he really enjoyed doing was going fishing with his father-in -law Mort. Visitation will take place at Hurst Funeral Home from 11am to 1pm, Saturday October 30, 2021. Funeral services will begin the same day at 1pm with a graveside service to follow at Ashley Cemetery in Belding. The family asks that anyone wishing to make a donation in Dan's memory please consider Faith Hospice at Trillium Woods in Byron Center, MI. Where Dan was so well taken care of for a short while before his passing.
