Libby was born July 28, 1958, the youngest of five children of the late Dr. Richard Angus Roberts and Catherine Jameson Roberts of Moss Point. At her death, she had Master Status as her Merchant Mariner Credential and worked as Captain for Laborde Marine out of Port Fourchon, Louisiana. As Captain, she worked several years in Valdez, Alaska, and traveled the world, taking boats from the Gulf of Mexico to Africa (Nigeria), the Panama Canal, and Japan. In 1986, her trip from St. Louis down the Tombigbee Waterway to Mobile was published in the March issue of National Geographic.

Libby was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, niece, and best friend to many in the community. She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church SBC of Moss Point, MS.
Dr. and Mrs. Roberts precede her in death as well as her brother, Richard A. Roberts Jr. "Dickie". She is survived by sisters, Mary Elise Roberts "Mollie" of Moss Point, MS and Catherine Louise Roberts "Cathy" of River Ridge, LA, her brother, Dr. William J. Roberts "Billy" of Longboat Key, FL; two nieces, Megan Marie Roberts of Chicago, IL and Katherine Rose Roberts "Katie" of Arlington, VA; a dear friend, Mary Ann Everett; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 30, 2021, at 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church SBC of Moss Point with Bro. Michael Perry Officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
