Marlene Loye Hancock Watts passed away December 12, 2018 in Provo, Utah. She was born on November 28, 1933 in American Fork, Utah to Mary Elizabeth "Mae" Bullock and Douglas Hindley. Marlene was raised in American Fork and married Duane Manwill Hancock on June 17, 1952. They were married for 61 years, with him preceding her in death June 29, 2013. She later married Elwood "Woody" Watts on October 7, 2016 in Provo, Utah.
Marlene was a large presence in the community. She spent many hours at the Heritage Center visiting residents and patients, trying to make their days a little brighter. She could also be found at the Senior Center almost every day, helping where she could. Marlene spent her life as a caretaker and in service to others.
Marlene is survived by her husband, Woody; children: Francine (Gary) Jones; Sheri Ault (Leslie McWilliams); Gary (Nancy) Hancock; Jan Hancock; Randy (Jennifer) Hancock; Tamy Evans; six stepchildren and their spouses; sister Donna Rae McClune and brothers Bill and Mike Hindley; several grandchildren, and many great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by an infant son and daughter; a granddaughter; and brother, Warren Hindley.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the American Fork 4th Ward, 455 East 300 North. A viewing will be held Monday from 6-8 p.m. at Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North and Tuesday at the church from 9:45-10:45 a.m. Burial will be in the American Fork Cemetery.
