Corporal Miguel Rodriguez died from complications as the result of contracting COVID-19 while working at the Florida Agricultural Checkpoint at 752300 Interstate 95 in Yulee.
Corporal Rodriguez had served with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services - Office of Agricultural Law Enforcement for over 15 years.
Of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away Thursday, October 21, 2021.
He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on April 15, 1969. Miguel graduated from South Milwaukee High School. After attending the St. Johns River State College Criminal Justice Academy, Miguel proudly served in law enforcement for the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services for sixteen years. Miguel's passions were his daughters, his job, music, and making people laugh.
He is survived by his daughters Brenna, Grace, and Jane. His sister, Olga (Gary), brothers Rick (Dana), Elias, and Joel (Jennifer). The mother of his children, Sharon. Many nieces, nephews, family, friends, and law enforcement family.
